Highway from Basel or Berne
When you reach the greater Zurich area, follow the signs towards “Luzern / Chur” for about 4 km until you reach a T-shaped intersection where you take a left towards “City / Enge” (not towards Luzern / Chur). Remain in the right lane and after passing a tunnel, take the first exit off to the right. At the red light take a right. Shortly thereafter you will see a brown sign towards the Museum Rietberg which will direct you to the left. Pass the Tessinerplatz (square with the Enge train station) and continue on Seestrasse along the tram tracks, pass through the tram stop “ Museum Rietberg” and continue for another 50 m. Take a right at the Restaurant Da Carlo and continue up the cobblestone path to the top of the Gablerstrasse. The entrance is to your left.

Highway from St. Gall, Winterthur or Schaffhausen
When nearing the end of the highway, stay in the right lane and follow signs towards “Universitaetsspital / Irchel / City”. Do not go through the tunnel. For the next 5 km, keep going straight at each light, passing the Hospital and University, down Raemistrasse to the Bellevue (where the lake meets the river Limmat). Cross the bridge, keep going straight along the lake until you reach the Tessinerplatz (square with the Enge train station). Turn left onto Seestrasse, follow it for about 400 m, pass the tram stop “Museum Rietberg” and continue for another 50 m. Take a right at the Restaurant Da Carlo and continue up the cobblestone path to the top of Gablerstrasse. The entrance is to your left.

Highway from Chur
At the end of the highway, take the "Brunau" exit and follow the Museum Rietberg signs. This will take you up a hill on Brunaustrasse and down the other side to Seestrasse, where another Museum Rietberg sign directs you to the left. About 100 m after the BMW garage, take a left at the Restaurant Da Carlo and continue up the cobblestone path to the top of the Gablerstrasse. The entrance is to your left.
