In the course «Daily Life in Zurich» you will learn important things about social, legal and cultural topics. Together with other women, you will discuss everyday issues and make new contacts. The course can serve as preparation for naturalization.

- A visit to the Stadthaus (City Hall)
- The school and education system in the canton of Zurich, compatibility of work and family life
- The Swiss education system and lifelong learning, vocational training, and studies
- Working in Switzerland, diploma recognition and job search
- Leisure time and opportunities for participation in Zurich: visit to a community center
- Social security in Switzerland / Social insurances
- Finances
- Home and neighborhood life
- The environment, waste, and recycling: An excursion
- Health and health insurance in Switzerland
- Historical tour through Zurich’s old city: Who were the most important women in Zurich’s history?
- Course evaluation and farewell celebration
- Changes in the program are possible.
Costs
- CHF 60.- for the course and CHF 30.- for childcare for participants living in the city of Zurich
- CHF 20.- for the course and CHF 10.- for childcare for participants living in the city of Zurich who have a Kulturlegi
- CHF 320.- for the course and CHF 90.- for childcare for participants from outside of Zurich
ATTENTION:
Depending on the course language, the courses are held at two different locations (in Oerlikon or at the Debattierhaus Karl der Grosse in the Old Town) with or without childcare.
