For the last 30 years, Dominic and his colleagues have been developing successful new ways of arriving at liberatory ends through liberatory means.
Guided by the work of Marshall Rosenberg, their award-winning dialogical social systems have been applied in contexts as diverse as civil wars, school systems, environmental disasters, online communities, churches and government. Derivations of this work now inspire programs in over 50 countries.
Specifically this talk will focus on Empathic Support Systems - community structures for sustaining creative responses to challenges and grief - emerging from the resilience and persistence of marginalised peoples in Rio de Janeiro and worldwide.
The evening will be an illustrated talk, showing how different groups in diverse cultural contexts have created meaningful, effective ways to promote dialogue when stuck or overwhelmed.
We will look at how this work began, its application in daily life and how support systems in Switzerland and elsewhere are pointing towards new possibilities.
The presentation will be given in English.
