In this 6-hour workshop, we’ll explore mood, tension and relaxation as tools for creating richer, more truthful and engaging improvised scenes.
You’ll work on how to create tension, sustain it, release it and shift between different moods — using your body, emotions, presence and connection with your scene partner rather than relying only on ideas or words.
The aim is not to add more things to think about on stage, but to develop a more embodied and intuitive approach to improvisation: listening to what is happening, allowing emotions to emerge and letting the scene breathe.
The workshop is designed for improvisers with one or more years of experience who want to explore a more emotional, physical and authentic approach to their scenes.
Gonzalo Piñán & Konstantin Häffner, the former duo behind Waiting for Bob, will lead the workshop. As directors and collaborators of ESIMPRO School & Company in Berlin, they have developed an approach to improvisation rooted in emotion, honesty, authenticity and a non-heady way of creating scenes.
