Cannupa Hanska Luger is an award-winning Indigenous artist (Mandan, Hidatsa, Arikara, Lakota) known for his sculpture, performance, and participatory work. His art addresses social, ecological, and political issues, placing Indigenous worldviews at the center. He gained international attention with the Mirror Shield project, a powerful symbol of peaceful protest. Luger has been featured in National Geographic, The New York Times Magazine, and Art21.
