What makes a portrait outstanding? Is it technical refinement, meticulous preparation – or is it coincidence? Photographer Markus Bühler gets to the bottom of this question with you. It shows that, in addition to the conscious choice of location and the feeling for light, one thing is decisive above all: dealing with people. Only when they feel comfortable does an authentic picture emerge. Portrait photography is not a one-sided process, but a dialogue between the photographer and the portrayed.
The course is aimed at anyone who wants to photograph portraits in nature – without any previous knowledge. After a short theoretical introduction in the museum, we go directly outside to the lake. This is where practical work is done and tried out. At the end, you will receive valuable tips on image editing, and Markus Bühler will take time for your questions and personal exchange. Don't forget your camera!
