New knowledge for the city administration.
Innovation Fellows are people who are employed by the city administration for a predefined period of time to work on innovation projects.
Accordingly, the aim of Innovation Fellowships is to involve experts from outside the city administration - from the private sector, academia, NGOs etc. - in the work of the city administration.
In the City of Zurich, the Innovation Fellows work for six to eighteen months in service departments in close cooperation with city government employees. They work on specific questions, challenges and opportunities. The Innovation Fellowships bring outside knowledge to the city administration and promote innovative new approaches and methods.
