The Residents’ Registration Office is responsible for changes of address, temporary or permanent residence permits and issues passports, ID cards and a wide range of other attestations, certificates and testimonials.

If you are leaving Switzerland permanently, please notice that, you must deregister yourself at the registeration desk in the City Hall, Stadthausquai 17, 8001 Zurich. The Residents' Registration Office in the City hall is open continuously from Monday to Friday 08.00 until 16.30.
