Anyone recovering on a private ward at Stadtspital Zürich will be able to enjoy stunning views over the city and Lake Zurich or, depending on the location, the Üetliberg or Waid. Our spacious patient rooms have plenty of natural light and help our patients to feel comfortable thanks to their warm colours, high-quality materials and stylish decor.
As a privately insured patient, you can recuperate in exclusively equipped single rooms. We also provide overnight accommodation for an accompanying person. With semi-private insurance, you can recuperate in a double room. Patients in both insurance classes benefit from extended visiting times.
Free choice of doctor
Stadtspital Zürich provides state-of-the-art treatment for patients in all insurance classes using the latest medical technology. This allows us to provide high-quality care and guarantee maximum patient safety.
If you have private or semi-private insurance, choose your own specialist, up to Head Physician level with private insurance, or up to Senior Physician level with semi-private insurance. As a rule, you will be given an appointment without a long waiting time.
Upgrade/class upgrade
At Stadtspital Zürich, patients with statutory insurance can also pay an optional surcharge to take advantage of additional services for privately or semi-insured patients.
The upgrades either only relate solely to hospitality (comfort upgrade) or to hospitality and medical services in the higher insurance class (class upgrade).
