Sustainability Award 2012

On 1 November 2012, the City of Zurich awarded the Sustainable Refurbishment award for socially acceptable residential renovations for the first time.

The prize was awarded to renovations that, in addition to economic and ecological aspects, also take into account the social dimension of sustainability.

With this award, the city honors renovation projects that contribute to the housing policy goal of renewing the building fabric as socially acceptable as possible.

7 projects were awarded

At the first presentation of the Sustainable Renovation Awards, the City of Zurich awarded seven projects and awarded recognition to four buildings.

On 1 November 2012, Mayor Corine Mauch presented the winners with the building plaques and certificates for particularly socially acceptable housing renovations.

The award-winning projects are:

  • Residential building Segantinistrasse 200
  • Residential building Bertastrasse 72
  • House with youth apartments Müllerstrasse 65/67
  • Settlement Scheuchzerhof
  • Settlement Sihlfeld
