Special issue On the mezzanine floor Sustainably renovating

The need for renovation of the built Zurich is great. The city consists of around 54,000 buildings, half of which were built before 1980, and many in need of renovation. For the "Sustainable Renovation" award, the city of Zurich was looking for apartment buildings whose renovation is exemplary in the three areas of ecology, economy and society. The new award from the City of Zurich aims to sensitize the public and players on the housing market to socially acceptable action in the real estate sector, to carefully elevate renovated settlements and residential buildings to the podium and to turn them into role models.
