Metropolitan Conference Zurich
The Metropolitan Area of Zurich is one of the urban areas classified as "European engines" that play a leading role in Europe in terms of economic performance, decision-making function, innovative strength, international transport, etc. The metropolitan area of Zurich is of essential importance for the Swiss economy. The aim of the Metropolitan Conference is to establish equal cooperation between the cantons, cities and municipalities of the Metropolitan Area of Zurich.
The Metropolitan Conference Zurich is sponsored by the Association Metropolitan Space Zurich. There, the city of Zurich is represented in all important committees. Mayor Corine Mauch is a member of the Metropolitan Council, the Director of Urban Development heads the operational committee responsible for planning the association's activities.
