The regulations on who is allowed to bring which family members to Switzerland (family reunification) are complex. Depending on the country of origin, different regulations apply. Different conditions apply to persons from EU/EFTA countries than to Swiss nationals or to persons from so-called third countries. Below are the most important legal provisions.

Many people who have come to Zurich as part of family reunification would like to work here and are looking for a job. On this page you will find information for people who are looking for an entry into working life in Switzerland.

When children or young people come to Switzerland as part of family reunification, there are many questions that need to be clarified. Find out as early as possible: children and family.
