Sister Cities Cinema: Zurich/SF

From October 18 to October 20, 2013, the San Francisco Film Society is showing a Zurich film series for the first time in its history on the occasion of the anniversary. Among them are Swiss film pearls such as Rolf Lissy's Schweizermacher, Fredi Murer's Vitus or René Uhlman's Punk Cocktail: Zürich Scene 1976–80.

Exhibition Twisted Sisters

As part of the anniversary, the joint photo exhibition Twisted Sisters – Reimaging Urban Portraiture will open on October 16 , 2013 in the City Hall of San Francisco. The exhibition is co-organized with the San Francisco Arts Commission Galleries. The curators are Alexandra Blättler and Meg Shiffler.

2005: a Züri tram in San Francisco

From 5 June 2005 (UN Environment Day), a Zurich tram curved on the rails of San Francisco. The blue and white tram is an ambassador for the city of Zurich and its internationally exemplary public transport services.
