Zurich meets San Francisco 2018
2018 marked the fifteenth anniversary of the city partnership with San Francisco , reason enough to hold the "Zürich meets" festival in the Californian metropolis.
The "Chef meets Chef" series provided culinary delights. Five top chefs from Zurich and Rapperswil met five top chefs from San Francisco. Together they created creative masterpieces of fusion cuisine on several evenings.
At Swissnex, Switzerland's official "Science Hub", an "Urban Tech Summit" took place, among other things. There, experts discussed the influence of new technologies on the future of urban mobility.
In addition, the official delegation from Zurich held many discussions with local start-ups, leading US companies and political representatives of San Francisco.
Two cities coming together for one week to innovate and collaborate. The festival of two cities presented the arts & culture, science & technology, and food & lifestyle of Zurich and San Francisco, featured a series of spectacles in different venues. It also provided a platform for exchange of fresh ideas among performing and visual artists, scientists, politicians, musicians and top Chefs.
